چکیده
Abstract We present an open-source software package called “Hamiltonian Open Quantum System Toolkit" (HOQST), a collection of tools for the investigation open quantum system dynamics in Hamiltonian computing, including both annealing and gate-model computing. It features key master equations (MEs) used field, suitable describing reduced arbitrary time-dependent with either weak or strong coupling to infinite-dimensional baths. overview theories behind various MEs provide examples illustrate typical workflows HOQST. example that shows HOQST can order magnitude speedups compared “Quantum Toolbox Python" (QuTiP), problems Hamiltonians. The is ready be deployed on high performance computing (HPC) clusters aimed at providing reliable open-system analysis noisy intermediate-scale (NISQ) devices.

Lecture 15: Open quantum systems: Hamiltonian formulation and master equations
Open quantum systems are ones that are coupled to an environment that we cannot control or observe completely and therefore must average over in our modeling. In the last lecture we saw how to represent open quantum system dynamics in terms of the Kraus representation (also referred to as a CPTP map, or operator sum representation (OSR)). This representation let us write the reduced state of th...

متن کاملClassical subdiffusion and quantum localisation in chaotic Hamiltonian system
There is considerable interest in the transport properties of quantum systems whose classical counterpart displays chaos. One of the well-studied system in this respect is the delta-kicked rotor (DKR). Physically, DKR corresponds to a free particle which is periodically kicked by a sinusoidal potential. In the chaotic classical limit, DKR shows unbounded and diffusive energy growth while the co...
